Today I stumbled upon artist Wendy MacNaughton and became completely transfixed. She has a knack for traversing styles and creating intelligent, tongue-in-cheek observations about life/people/the crappy new iphone. I am especially enamored with her ability to bring out the spectacular beauty in the most ordinary-looking things. But most impressive of all is her humanitarian work in Rwanda and Kenya as well as with torture survivors.
