H & M is killing it this season. Because the trends for this fall and winter are so practical and classic, it really can’t hurt to plunk down some cash for of-the-moment clothing. H &M doesn’t offer their full catalog online, so I hit the real store and scouted out the best.
Apologies in advance for the ghetto photos – covert picture-taking was necessary in the dressing room. Also, the clock was running during this visit and there were so many fun clothes and accessories I didn’t get to document, so be on the lookout for part deux!
Military jacket: $49.95. My favorite feature of this piece is the zip-in hood.
Breton shirt: $12.95. A classic shirt that works in all seasons. It looks just like the Saint James version at a tenth of the cost!
Army green pencil skirt: $49.95. The wool material feels great and captures the military trend of this fall and winter. Pair it up with a jean shirt and camel coat.
Suede shirt: $79.95. I understand this is pricey for H & M, but the suede material is amazing and the silhouette is superbly cut (a la Betty Draper). I love that the entire shirt is not suede so you won’t feel suffocated. The boxy fit will work well with a cigarette pant and flats.
Striped shirt: $5.95. I bought two of these and wear them all the time. Pair it army-green bottoms.
Red pencil skirt: $49.95. In case you’re a color-phobe (aka New Yorker), a skirt is an excellent means of subscribing to this season’s bright red trend without completely committing your entire ensemble to the color.
Polka-dot shirt: $29.95. Seen all across the runways, this style is great with jeans or a pencil skirt.
Leather dress: $99. I love, love, love this dress! Can’t wait to pair it with cable knit socks and sunset sandals.
Nude-colored dress with velvet detailing: $59.95
