The Lo Down

Goofing around on Facebook today, I spotted an awesome banner ad featuring a single squiggly line forming a heart and had to discover who was behind it.  After a simple Google search, I unearthed artist Rich Lo.

Born in Canton, China, to a famous Chinese Opera composer, Lo grew up painting backstage during performances and at the radio station where his father hosted a program.  At age seven, the family re-located to Illinois, where he eventually attended Eastern Illinois University.  Since then, Lo has thrown himself into visual arts and created ad campaigns for major clients such as the Chicago Botanic Garden.  He is well-versed in diverse styles and approaches.

Below are some of my favorites.

  1. Pretty funny to see my friend Rich Lo on your blog, unfortunately some of your facts are wrong. He is a great artist however and will soon be publishing his first children’s book this fall.Linda
